Sweet! Much like the YouTube embed feature. I may remember this in the future. Thanks much.

I had a very vague recollection of an amp like this. I just did a Google Image search for "Jerry Garcia pedal steel." I found a bunch of Twin shots.

Hmmmm. Anybody have a photo of him using this amp?
Peace

That's an old transistor (maybe 60 watts?) Sho-Bud "Christmas Tree" pedal steel amplifier. I do believe he used this amp with NRPS for a bit, but I'm not sure it stuck for long. They're not that loud and they do blow with loud abuse. Back then, Sho-Bud made a few nice sounding transistor amps with JFETS in the preamp and the general circuit was like a Twin Reverb tonestack.

If someone want to find pic's of Jerry with it, maybe go digging/googling for him with NRPS in 1970. That may be what that is. It's possible that this is the Jerry NRPS amp, possibly.

Here it is without the tie-dye grill cloth: April 1971 (or so it claims)

That"s a great photo.I just saw one of these amps for sale for $400. Could probably be had for less.
I'm sure it doesn't have Jerry's prints on it though.

Cool. Some of my favorite Dead memories are from those early-70's days when the NRPS opened for the Dead. 5+ hours of Jerry!

Wasn't this just for sale not too long ago? I feel bad for the seller if he really paid 50k for it a couple years ago. Not a particularly prudent investment.

Do you suppose the "touring jacket" that he also has for sale is Jerry's Members Only jacket? Jerry was ironic before it was cool to be ironic.
