2/24/73: Different Strings in Different Channels

In this show, Phil play a bass solo, and it sounds like two(?) strings are in the right channel and the other two(?) are in the left channel. The bass solo is on 30 Days of Dead 2012, which is on Spotify.
In the Dead movie, Phil talks about this bass feature, however, I don't think I've heard it before listening to this recording.
