Knowing some of the parameters that Jerry used for his wah sound in songs like "Estimated" and "Stranger", I tried duplicating it on my RP (digitech). Jerry used a Mutron, played with overdrive, and an envelope filter through a boutique amp miked up to play though a Jbl. Or something like that! Has anyone tried this? The Wah preset on the unit has a lot of parameters like cabinet, gate, etc. things I'm not sure about. Any ideas? For example, what would the pick up setting be? Or the envelope filter, anyone have an idea of those settings? Anyone have any ideas, I'm getting a little frustrated..a bag of pecan sandies for any help!

I have enough trouble with the two and three knob, step on the button pedals.

Tried one of those all in one boxes...frustration is an understatement.

Luddite here as well. Sorry. My wah experience involves moving my foot up and down manually. Sometimes I hook up a distortion pedal but its usually just amp distortion for me. I dont play in a Dead cover band so I havn't tried to get too technical with my Jerryism.

Does it have the "auto" wah setting.
That should get you closer than just wah.
