Man, if you can afford to, I have a good buddy that went in a different direction, and he still wishes he kept it. It's the best fender preamp circuit you can get. Swears its better than some of his fine Fender classic amps he owns. Find the power section that will give you the tone you're after, like a Mesa or plug into an effects return of any other tube amp.

But if you gotta, you gotta.

For the life of me I can't imagine unloading my SMS even if I never played another GD tune in my life. It's WAY more than a Garcia tone machine.
