Boss Octave 2 Help

Ok so I'm new to using the OC-2 and I'd like a starting point in terms of where to set the dials for a Jerry tone. I've had it for a few months and it collects dust more than anything cause I'm just not sure what to set it to. I've searched a bit now for help and can't find a thread that speaks to my needs. I have fiddled with the knobs here and there but have had no success in finding a suitable tone. Any input would be great.

Are you using your neck pickup with the treble rolled off? if not, the effect isn't going to get there by itself.

I'm (fairly) sure that Jer never used the two octave down feature, and when I had mine, I just turned the direct level to unity and brought the one octave down level up to where I wanted it.

I have mine set with the dry signal all the way up, the octave 1 all the way up, and the octave 2 at 12 o'clock.

Key to getting the right tone is turning it upside down. If it says made in Taiwan, change that setting to Japan.

Not to be a smart ass, but....
I got rid of my OC-2 and built the BYOC Divided Octave, much happier. The tracking on the Boss drove me crazy.

2nd octave zero
1st octave adjust to taste
direct signal full
add enough oct 1 so that you can hear it , too much is no good.
