Bobby sings it, Phil wrote it. I heard he wrote the tune to get Garcia to play some raunchy rock guitar.

Yes, I have heard that Phil wrote the song to get the band to rock more.

Nah just trying to work it up and saw it was a Phil tune .... been on the bus since '86 and thought I knew it all !

Pretty sure Phil confirms this either in his book or an interview somewhere.
