Could someone tell me if the switch to Jerry's "direct to board" change made this sound possible. If you listen to Richfield 3/21/94 sbd - listen to Jerry just after the first verse in Lovelight. The strings sound so electric. What's causing this? I like it.

Hey Jm, I am no expert but, my guess is he might have kicked on a boss hm-2 distortion pedal. I am not sure if he was using one that year. It sounds like some heavy distortion for a moment until he switches back to a cleaner sound. ,Paul
