How to hold pick?

I usually practice slow and then speed things up, figuring I can always go faster if I got it down. But here the whole thing is going faster so....

Here's how I have done it successfully or seen it done successfully:
1) either super thick pick with 0 play or super thin pick that wafts like tissue. No more mediums
Assuming the thicker
2) hold: choke up on the pick almost like you could get a pinch harmonic
3) strum: over the fingerboard almost where the tension is different

practice, practice

Use one of the "butt-ends" of a thick, rigid pick... Don't use your wrist at all - it's all elbow!
