Hey folks! I've got a bag end 2x12 cab and a friend tie dye artist willing to make a speaker cover. I need to build a frame for it. I'm not a total spaz and can probably do it myself. Any recommendations on how thick the wood needs to be and what kind of corners I should cut? Does it need any middle support? The cab already has blocks in the corners with Velcro but I'll probably switch it for magnets. Thanks!

My Hogan made Cabs ( best cab I have hands down )speaker cover is the depth of the recess where the wood cover fits .... prob the top and bottom piece is bigger since you will need to put magnets in ....
It has a middle support

Absolutely false. You can use either.

I don't know, I tried fabric-store tie-dye fabric and it muffled the high frequencies enough that I didn't use it. It was either cotton or cotton/poly blend.

Cotton muslin. Pulled tight will let light through. It won't block highs(God forbid). I'm not the tie dye king of San Francisco but I've built and listened to enough cabs to know otherwise.
