Admittedly, I'm not overly familiar with Jerry's Banjo (model, etc). I thought this might be of interest. No affiliation.

Definitely cool. I wonder if it is the banjo from Old and in the way.

Early on Jerry played a Weymann that he bought with the proceeds from his wedding.

Knowing what a prankster Jerry was I would think he had someone stop at a pawnshop on the way to the taping and buy this banjo to give away.

This banjo (Lida Banjo) is a Japanese made and relatively cheap banjo as far as banjos go. I'm sure Jerry never gigged with it. Still kinda cool, but not worth a ton of money as an instrument. The older ones were certainly better than the newer models.
