Volume pot issue?

Quick one for the wiring gurus ... what would cause a volume pot to suddenly cease to function so the guitar is at full volume regardless of where the knob is (even full off)? Loose ground? Or just a bad pot? This is on a PRS master volume pot.

I think it would be one of two possibilities... the most likely is the pot shorted, the second that a wire came loose and is shorting across the pot... most likely the pot is bad though...
Does everything else work correctly?

Thanks. Tone control is fine, pickup selector works, there's just not volume control. Pops a little bit when the pickup selector is changed, I'm thinking it's a short, as well.

The switch may just be more noticable... you're listening carefully, and the volume is wide open... my switches always have some noise...
After looking at the schematic, I suppose it's possible that the volume capacitor might be shorted also... but it's got to be there at the volume pot... I'd try disconnecting the cap first, then the pot...
