My New K120

Hey now,

So I recently got a really nice K120 (for Christmas), and I just thought I would share my experience with you kind folks.
I always heard that the JBL speakers were the most important piece of the puzzle, but never gave it too much thought. And in the past, I honestly have never been extremely extatic when i got a new piece of gear (tone wise), it just never really made a very dramatic difference. I expected a similer result from the K, better, but not there. Well let me just say that when i played the first notes (Sugaree riff), i could have cried cause it sounded so damn good. Crystal clear, bright, great low end, great high end. Everything just sounded better, and sooo noticeably, more than anything ive tried so far. So, if any of you are in the same mindset i was, STOP IT. GO BUY A JBL.

Pleas share your experiences with JBLs!

Happy Holidays everyone!

Agree, there is an order-of-magnitude jump with JBLs.

When I first started the Jerry Tone quest I read this board cover to cover.

About a week later I was in my local music shop, and they had an original Mesa Mark I with a K120. I dialed up the settings, and wound myself up in to some Scarlet (to my limited ability). Wow...but not quite. Walked away. Read some more. Next day I went back and got the Boss Fender Reverb pedal.

Wow. JBL w/ reverb and a clean signal = Awesome. I could never go back.

That Boss Reverb is really something. I compared it with an orginal Fender tube reverb the store had. I found the Boss to be cleaner, clearer, and way cheaper. It is an integral part of my rig.
