Graphite pick static

Need some help from the group, when I use the graphites on a single pole pickup guitar (Tele, LP with P-90s) I'm getting static when touching the strings. No noise with plastic.

Anyone else? Solution?

Shielding the guitar helps dramatically. All cavities & the back side of the pick guard. When I first started playing with Adamas picks it plagued my instruments. All are shielded now, and the problem is gone to the 95% level.

Hope this helps.
Peace

I had this problem before, and it ended up being my bridge ground. I was getting continuity, but the. Resistence was too high for a soild ground. I forget the exact number I was reading, but once I fixed that, my guitar was quiet again

I have this issue too. I'm glad to hear that it is a common thing and pretty easy to fix.

Ordered some of that shielding paint from Stew-MAc. Will apply to Tele and LP w/P90s. Will report the result.

Wipe the pick with an anti-cling dryer sheet.

It works.

Adamas picks are subject to this issue.

I flipped the ground switch and it went away.
