This summer, sadly, I lost my 19 year old son in a very bad car accident here in Hanson, MA. We have since set up a scholarship fund in his honor - http://www.collinyoung.org/index.html

We will be hosting the first annual Collin Young Memorial Scholarship Benefit to be held at the Whitman-Hanson (MA) High School Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 15th from 6:30 - 10:30. It will feature 2 sets by Fennario and a set in between by local singer/songwriter Joe Merrick http://www.joemerrick.com. The local school system has very generously given us all of the resources and support that we need to put this event on. The school is a brand new $40 million building and the Performing Arts Center is a 650 seat beautiful, state of the art theater.

We have done very well in securing sponsors and donations and we will be having numerous raffles and silent auctions.

If anyone might be in the area - I would be honored if you could make it to this very special event. Even if not - if anyone could help spread the word, I would very much appreciate it.

I am very sorry to hear this Mike. It is great you are keeping his memory alive through this eternal gift, I admire your strength and heart. I have 5 kids and that happens to be one of my worst fears for them. Stay Strong Brother, and I pray for much success for your memorial charity cause. I am sure your son is very proud of what you're doing.
