I stumbled across this rare gem tonight and thought I would post it here. Not really my cup of tea but an Irwin none the less.

Wow.
Now when I see that my heart doesn't exactly scream with desire.
But...Wow.

Gotta admit, its an Irwin I ain't ready to jump on................
But it is nice to have it on the record.
Apparently, according to my sources Doug made "24 specialty guitars"
5 are Jerry's
A bass for Phil, Pete Sears and Philsam,
Rosewood and the Les Paul (these two apparently made during the same time period as Wolf)
The Irwin Strat discussed on this board
The Dollar Sign Guitar
That is 12 of the 24, there are another 12 out there, where are they, what do they look like, inquiring minds want to know.......................

My cousin had an Irwin for many years....It was built side by side with Wolf and actually had a fret marker that was meant to be in Wolf but Jerry didn't want it because it was going to be the 13th one. My cousin played that guitar till is was worn out......I held it a couple of times.....It was a thing of beauty.......He sold it unfortunately.......needed the cash.....

Sorry never got the chance....by the time I heard it was gone it was too late....I would have made him a deal........It was a hybrid between a strat and a LP ....double cutaway......almost looked like Wolf....
