Hi! I am a LONG TIME lurker who finally registered - my arsenal includes a start and an Ibanez Artist - I think I am going to (finally!) either buy a guitar and have it modded to approximate the tone we love (probably split coil dual sounds, actually) - or have one built from scratch - does anyone know a competent luthier on Long Island? Or, if I find a guitar from nice woods that I want to mod, any good shops to bring it to around here? I am appreciative for the advice, folks!

Which Ibanez Artist? I had someone on LI do my work. Just trying to remember his name...
