Two Prong Power cord on my preamp????

Hey Dudes,
This may be a silly question but I'll ask anyway......
I recently scored an old Alembic F2B Preamp from "76, it has a two prong power cord. Do I need to change this one to a three prong to avoid getting zapped??? I know Ive done it before with some old silverface fenders for safety but I wasnt sure if it was needed for just a preamp??? Thanks.
