Mutron sound on Dancin' in the street - Dick's pick #3

If anyone can listen to this and explain how Jerry is getting this Mutron sound that differs from his usual sound on Estimated or FOTM. Is he using a different setting or or maybe some palm muting. I describe it as a chopping sound unlike a whop whop sound. :-)

I dont own a mu , so i wont comment on the settings , but on a Qtron the sweep is in the opposite position to achieve that sound

yep, there's a switch for the sweep direction - either up or down. That's what makes the difference in sounds.

I don't think the mini q torn has that feature. The q torn and the q tron+ have it

I have an old Boss T-Wah with a toggle switch that lets you go from Estimated tone to Dancing in the Streets DP3 tone.
