I've always had trouble getting past the "slingshot on Mars".

Just a personal hangup I guess.

surely this makes up for it
Now what's to be found racing around.
You carry your pain wherever you go
All full of the blues and trying to lose
You ain't gonna learn what you don't wanna know
So I give you my eyes, and all of their lies
Please help them to learn as well as to see
Capture a glance, and make it dance
Of looking at you, looking at me
I also tend to love songs that mention 'the road'

I love this song, too!
I especially love the little string-bendy licks Jerry does following the first two lines of the second verse (I left StLouie, city of Blues... [Jerry Lick here]).
I love to play stuff like that when I play/sing this song.
I also think of this song as a 7-string guitar song (I have three 7-string guitars... Two Jerry and one Bobby), because the low B-string enhances my solo version that I play on the couch or down in the basement.

Anyone know why they ever stopped playing it? Fun as hell to play too. That Bob solo version on the TRI site is great.
