Hey everyone, im looking at a vintage Mutron 3, but its weird model i havent seen. It has no power switch, power cable hard wired to pedal, and doesnt say musitronics on it. Is it good? Same circuit as Jerrys?

It should have the name and make on it plus serial #s. Does it say HAZ on it? How much do they want for it? If you take it apart to see the insides it should be an old school etched board with solder leads.

Id get one of those, it was hard to understand if that guy sold them or is telling you how to make them from the quick glance I took. Super cool package job!

That's the version made by ARP. Musitronics sold the brand over to them towards the end. It's a real Mutron inside though, not like the new HAZ version. Kimock has some high praise for that version.

[quoteYou'll be way ahead of the game if you can dig up an actual Mutron III with the AC cord attached as opposed to the external power supply version, but the Q-tron is nice too.[/quote]
FWIW, I have the ARP version and the Musitronics version and soundwise they are extremely close.
