Kean College: Martian keyboard sound for guitar?

Is there any way I can get that spacey, lasers from Mars type of sound that the keys are playing on this album, but on my guitar? What sort of effect is that? Can I get it in a stomp box?

Bump? Sorry, can't find anything on the web about this... Looked on Ozzie Ahlers website even. Are there no keys-playing gearheads on the internet? I figure if anyone can tell me it'll be someone here. I must have that zappy alien ray-gun sound!
