Kingfish Guitarist Danny DeGennaro dead

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – Police are investigating the death of a well-known local musician.
Danny DeGennaro, 56, was found dead in his family home on Crabtree Drive in Bristol on Wednesday night. Police were called to the home for a report of a fall victim in critical condition, and upon arrival, they found DeGennaro unresponsive. Though paramedics performed chest compressions, DeGennaro was pronounced dead at St. Mary Medical Center.
A police sergeant at the scene initially said DeGennaro had been shot, but the official cause of death has yet to be determined. Investigators are treating the death as a homicide.
DeGennaro played guitar with national musical acts like Kingfish, which included band members of the Grateful Dead and Clarence Clemons from the E-Street Band.
