CTS Pots, Where's the Tapper?

Hey-
Just changed out the wiring harness on my LP, from the stock Gibson pots and caps, to CTS pots and different caps. Here's my question, the CTS pots have very uneven tapering. I was aware that this would be kind of the case but, man it's all up front. Same for both volume and tone. Is this normal or am I crazy?

Are you sure that you have the right type - as in audio vs. linear?

I had put in an audio pot for tone and it was all at the bottom 5%. Swapped it out for a linear and it was perfect - although it wasnt CTS.

you should have audio taper or (log) for the vol. and linear taper for the tone. I was also informed by others on this forum that CTS are no longer the quality pot the used to be in the 60's and 70's.
