Grateful Dead Music Forum

I'm from the North of England and I've listened to the Dead just about all my musical life but just lately really got back into picking up the guitar again. Never been in a band and now into my middle fifties and I wanna get better so I can play some of my long time fave Dead stuff and rock out on the porch when I retire haha! ,,

I just found this place a few weeks ago and it looks like a cool place to learn from and maybe chat and ask a few questions from you good folks on gear, guitars and stuff in general ... so hello to you all ..........

Did you ever get to catch the Dead in Europe ?

Thanks for the welcome guys .. and I'm ashamed to say I did not .. I was pretty much still at school way back then and hitch hiking was my only affordable means of transport ... I had a chance to go to Bickershaw though as we all used to climb the fences in those days as the only way we could afford to go ... Same with the very early Glasto festivals ...
