Sorry for another OHMS question, but I am not finding anything for this situation on the interwebs.

I have an amp that has 2 speaker outs and one switch to select 4,8 or 18 ohms. I already have a junk 1x12 with a 8 ohm speaker in it that i think i will keep around because it was such a pain to make. I have another 1x12 cab (nice one) coming this weekend and want a nice speaker to go inside. Should I be looking for another 8 ohm incase I ever want to play them together? I am seeing that 16 ohms tend to be cheaper, but that wouldn't work, right?

Also, if i plug an 8 ohm 1x12 into one speaker out, and another 8 ohm 1x12 into the other speaker out does that equal 8 or 16?

i didn't realize being an electrician was involved in learning to play guitar

assuming parallel outs, it equals 4.

I guess when it comes to electronics I should pull a constanza and do everything opposite from what I deem logical
