s'up Corvallis!? keep an eye out for Ramblin' Rose to swing down that way as a possible addition to our Eugene trip at the end of summer, probably as the JGB tribute unit.

afaik, the Estate keeps a tight leash on JGB downloading, but you can find that song on the Jerry Garcia Band 1990 double-live release, but for others, I would recommend getting into some snail-mail trading forums, and if you are a non-burner maybe start by finding someone willing to do a Blanks & Postage

This isn't a download either, but check out the new release "Garcia plays Dylan". It has a fantastic version of Senor from 93.

Thanks for the tips. I have heard both those versions. That sucks the JBG estate is tighter with downloads than the band in general. I did see Ramblin Rose on the rukind dead cover bands link. I'll look for you guys in Corvallis area late summer as JGB unit. That would be incredibly cool. Does anyone know what happened to Grateful Fred? They were a pretty good dead cover band. I dont know where they were out of though. Also, I might have some questions about how to start my own band. I'm getting to the talent level where its possible, but how do I find people that want to play mostly dead and NRPS and kind of tunes? I guess I need to advertise.

Anyway keep on truckin.

Y'know, I can't get that map dealie to work.

I would say a key resource to find local connections is Craigslist.com, but you can nose around various GD posting boards like philzone.org and deadnetcentral... the Jambands.com forums is another place, although pretty flame/troll-ified.

You can find JGB stuff here:

Etree and Dimeadozen are two good starts.
