THE RAPTURE???

OK, first I would like to think most of us may be sticking around, so remember if you are gigging tonight an appropriate song would be REM's "Its the End of the World as We Know it"... Hopefully this same feller, that predicted the last rapture of 94' , is wrong again. He said he had miscalculated last time, but this time he is for SURE! I am happy that we are playing on a giant dock over the water, (think Porky's), we should be able to dodge the hot lava. And if I do get sucked into the center of the Earth, I will have guitar in hand! I better get brushed up on my Satan metal riffs, something I would think goes over well in hell, since I have been lacking on my religious obligations lately. And that concludes "Deep Thoughts" by Jon Miller. :D

PS I hope we all get to post on "Most recent set lists" thread tomorrow, and we all make it home safely.

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed I didn't get drafted for the raptures - maybe all the bad shit I did before getting kicked out of Catholic school

Today is my Dad's 73rd b-day and he wasn't taken up either . . .dissed on his birthday

Everyone should go put scatter their laundry around their neighborhoods

Well, I guess he miscalculated again..... Nothing more appropriate than playing RAPTURE by Blondie! The only thing I could never stone cold rhyme like that...

Debbie Harry was hot.

There have been literally dozens of these whackos predicting the end of the world for centuries that I have read about, and I wouldn't doubt it if someone told me there were hundreds more I've never heard of. I'll believe it when I see it.

Does anyone remember the group that was convinced there was a spaceship following the Hale-Bopp comet that would give them a ride to heaven if they all killed themselves on the right day? When they found the bodies, many of the men were castrated. I guess I've never been one of those "charismatic" guys, because I can't imagine pulling off a line like:

"Hey guys, I got a great idea! Let's all cut our balls off, and commit mass suicide in order to get a ride to heaven with some aliens who are on a spaceship following a comet heading our way!"

I'm pretty sure I would have lost everyone by the word "off".

ok- I was just trying to find that rediculous ebay part of this forum (just to make sure I'm going to get way less money for some shit I know won't make me sound as good as Dupree when I buy it high (2 high)and sell it in the morning), but I accedentally read these posts (eye-balls out of controll) - and It's not just some weird as hell '91 space I'm a listening to right now, but also- gOD dAMN but I derail - You bastards are stupid/funny (make me laugh) and thank you.
Life been a little tough these days.
Thanks again.

The thing that freaks me out the most is that for every Charlie Manson there are about 20 Squeakies who are willing to go along with it.
