New guitar strap, and Intersting dead option coming soon

So in Pittsburgh there is basically and indie craft show that happens every year called handmade arcade, or as i like to call it hipsters on parade. I got a guitar strap there a few years back and like it so much i was happy to see them back. I was wanting to get another one for my acoustic guitar

Any way I grabbed one (pic below) and was talking to the dude, because i noticed they started selling their straps via best buy and a few other sites. Oh before i go furthur the straps are recycled seat belts with vintage ribbon them, they are strong, and comfortable with my heavy jerrycaster as les paul. Anyway the dude told me they just got licensed for GD stuff, and are looking for manufactures for ribbon to do stealy straps etc. Just thought I'd share

in the interest of fairness, this seems to me borderline spam, but I am not affiliated with the company at just a happy customer, and I am excited to see what kind of dead stuff they turn out.

funny though I picked the same pattern 3 years apart, just different colors.

oh yea, the company is soldier and they are based out of chicago.

Nice! I need a cool strap for my fairly boring-looking John-Kahn bass. How wide are they and how grippy? (if that makes sense... some straps slide around, some stick to your shirt like glue)

think about your seat belt. it's the same material. I haven't had any problem with slipping. also same width, ball park 2.5-3 inches i guess. the ends are also recycled shoe leather. I just dig reuse

also is that picture taking forever to load? you'd think facebook hosting would be quick :) I uploaded it via twiter too, but i can't direct link an img there, but the link is here. http://twitpic.com/4m38u7

i've never spend more than 15 on a strap before, and i really like these. I could see them lasting for a long long time

They used to sell these in the guitar store i worked at! by far the coolest guitar straps i ever tried out. They're super comfortable, even on super heavy les pauls, plus they look rad!Majorly regretting not buying one while i had the chance to get it with employee discounts

Handmade Arcade is a great event! I don't like everything but there's always some cool stuff there. I was bummed I couldn't make it this year.

I keep going back to the same $12 black suede strap I got in the mid 90s for all my Fender-sized basses... so $50 for a good strap is not a problem to me.

Any idea when the bears are coming out?
