Hey Boys and Girls,

MoonAlice will be playing at Sullivan Hall in New York City (Greenwich Village) on 4/06/2011. MoonAlice will be opening for Steve Kimock.
If you are not familiar with MoonAlice, you might want to check them out. I have seen them several times and it is always a good time.
How could it not be? Barry Sless on guitar and Pedal Steel, Pete Sears on keys and bass, John Molo on the Drums, Rodger McNamee on guitar and vocals and Ann McNamee on vocals. If you are in or around NYC I hope you will join me in attending this show. This band deserves our support. I do not think that I have to point out to anyone on this forum that Barry is, without a doubt, one of the best guitarists out there today. Barry in my opinion has one of the best mutron sounds going, he really nails it. Not to mention Molo and Sears. And if you ever wanted to meet Steve Parrish, this would be a good opportunity to do so.

Having just seen MOONALICE for the first time here in Denver, I have to agree. Barry Sless is one of my favorites, perhaps the most "Jerry-esque" guitarist today, playing from the heart with a consummate command of the music, and expressing himself from the heart. I've seen him many times on the 2005-2006 Phil and Friends tours. Pete Sears completely impressed my with outstanding bass and keyboard skills. I was familiar with him before, but to see him opened a new dimension. John Molo needs no comment. Go see these guys, if you can. This is a group I would follow!

I am headed down the the big city for this show. Looks like Kimock will have Molo and Sears sitting in with him, and hopefully Barry Sless as well. If you are in the area, come on down to the show!

If my back wasn't freaking out, I'd be there. Barry Sless & Steve Kimock in a small NYC club setting? That's a no-brainer!

Barry Sless is an awesome player - my bluegrass band did a gig with a band he was playing with back in the early 90s, I think. They were called the Lone Starlets - two hotties one guitar and sax playing some western swing. Sless played steel guitar with them. I believe he also played with a Dead band called the Dead Ringers that I saw in Radford, VA. Loved Phil & Friends with Barry and Larry Campbell. He a talented player.

WOW this was a great show! Sorry no pics. This is the third time I have seen Kimock and I enjoyed this show the most of the three.
having Pete Sears and Molo (of Moon Alice) sitting in with him the whole show, may have contributed to that. Moon Alice did a great set, they are getting better as time goes on (hopefully we all are).

Sullivan Hall is a smallish club and the place was packed!

Oh yeah I forgot one interesting thing, Some dudes bring a Wolf Clone into the place. The bring it out just behind the stage near where I am and I get a brief but pretty good look at it. I think is was a Moriarty Wolf, it had the Peacock Logo on the headstock. They quickly moved it back stage, and they did not want to talk to me about it. I talked about it with Steve Parish, and Steve said it was very nice. I thought it looked quite nice also, no surprise there.
