Here's a picture of my rig from around 2002. Not that much has changed. Same guitar and Fender Twin head. I'm using different power amps and also have an SMS Classic. I don't use the GCX anymore either. Just a small pedalboard is all I seem to need.

Nice looking rig. Similarly, I haven't lugged my rack out in about a year...

With the OBEL, I really don't need separate loops for my effects. They are true bypassed at least.

Nice rig for sure. Since I got my SMS the rack is much smaller and no GCX here for now!

The GCX does add a lot of weight to the rack since the pedals have to be close to the system, usually in the rack itself. I like mine for many more reasons than the extra weight can justify not using it. I got a Rock n Roller from GC and it makes travel soooo easy now, weight really doesn't matter anymore to me. It rolls over rocks and grass in one trip! Highly recommended if you hate moving heavy speaker cabs. It folds up easy and packs away easy and is very light for its size.

This is pretty much the current rig except I use the MC2120 more than the MC2300 when playing out mainly for weight reasons although I do like the sound on the 2300 better (slightly). All Macs are kinda similar so it's all good. Also, I have the SMS Classic in a rack with the MC2120 so I really have 2 separate rigs.

Very cool, Jim! You have the rig, sound, & playing nailed as well as anyone out there. I'd love to try a Mac amp one of these days.
