If he's gone it's a damn shame.

Maybe after telling off Waldo and Rick Turner his work here is done?

Ya I hear ya - I hate that egos cause so many issues (look at post-jerry band members!). I can certainly see how and why people get uptight about certain posts....but man....take a step back.....and another step back. We are all in this together - a community can tolerate difficult personalities if the just roll with it instead of escalating (seriously how many times have you deleted and ranting post because you thought better of it before hitting submit?). I remember just getting in to the Dead scene and thinking how awesome it was that so many people from different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicity's could gather a find solidarity because of a shared connection. I expected people deadicated enough to be active members here would share that same 'utopian' view.

It's sad man - you just know these guys all have a good heart (and ear for music!) - this chest thumping stuff kills vibe and robs the community of valuable members.

I totally share that too. (NOT SAYING this is the case here) but,,, I can get bothered by Dead heads acting like elitists (as if they are a real dead head and others are not) which to me is a total OXYMORON! Exactly,,, take a step back and realize the society we wish for starts with us. Most on this board are "Touch Heads" if they were on tour or saw shows from the mid 80's on.... remember how that felt when the guys from the pig pen/Kieth G. era named us that? Like we were not real fans because we came of age when In The Dark came out. Well, still Here I am DEVOTED.

Even if all that is left is a web site rather than a tour, we need to pass it on to the next generation with open arms and hope it lives on. SOCIETY NEEDS IT NOW MORE THAN EVER!!! Its not right to perpetuate dysfunction and behave hypocritically, we should all strive to be better than that. We may all stand for different politics these days, but we still remember how to care for a brother or sister, no matter if they are new, old, personality challenged, never saw Jerry, or were born with both male and female genitalia.
