I have been noticing some guys using these and wanted to ask the community what hey think about the line and especially the delay DL-8. I am also looking into it for its easy, straight forward looping function to help out sometimes in our 3 piece when songs/jams get thin sounding. Watcha think?? I got a hardwire reverb 2 days ago and don't have it yet, and now I am thinking about the delay... I am using a Rocktron delay right now which i totally hate.

I have the reverb and love it. I don't use it all the time, usually when I am playing through an amp that doesn't have a reverb but it is spot on. I A/B a few reverb pedals against a twin reverb and the hardwired came out the winner.

it also has other reverbs on it besides spring (shocking right?) but my favorite to play with is the reverse reverb, you can get some seriously trippy sounds out of it. might induce a flashback in you.

I know you were speciafically looking about the delay, but hopefuly the rest of the series is as good as the reverb.

Sweet! I can't wait, I almost got a boutique analog reverb then read the fantastic reviews about it. Its like a small lexicon rack from what I hear. When flashbacks hit, things start going down hill, I can't stop looking at my hands, I mean really looking at my hands.

yes I thought I would pair the delay with it, and I would like to get a looper, which could be a different topic all in itself if anyone has any advice on loopers, especially one that can be used live EASILY and set up well. The Digitech seemed no frills straight up looper with a cool delay set up too!

I have the SC 2 Valve Distortion. It has Level, Bass, Treble and Gain notched pots and sounds absolutely fantastic w/ both buffered and passive guitars. Also, has a switch to go from Crunch to Saturated, the latter of which I hardly use. It is NOT a re-boxed Bad Monkey. It is much cleaner and more transparent. Love the fact it has bass and treble controls! Down side is it quit working off of battery and must be used in my rack w/ power supply. Like it so much I am going to pick up a spare! peace, Gregg

Id also give a look into the TC Electronic Flashback delay which just came out. It also has a looper and even more features than the dl-8.

And imo it sounds fantastic. Im waiting for mine to come in the mail

That sounds nice Casper, but I can't get over or ignore the awesome reviews these pedals have received. I am only looking to replace the Rocktron Cyborg's I got a year ago, I was thinking then I wanted to control them with midi, which I never did (or could). I want compact and simple, plus versatile. These look real appealing, since my reverb went out last weekend, I won a reverb on ebay and its in the mail now.

Those Cyborgs suck BTW, they're big, and a pain in the ass to adjust. Also, they already have problems after one year of gigging. The were OK, but to big for what I got out of them. Plus they were noisy, even with the hush system built in.

YES!! Got it an hour ago and it is what I have always wanted. The Verbs are awesome, plus stereo outs!

Yes! Very cool. Usually a reverse function is something that is unusable to me, this one is actually functional/musical. I used the pedal itself at our gig last night and it was really nice. I planned on trying everything, but the spring sounded so good I didn't want to loose the tone! It actually reminds me of having my Tube Works combo spring reverb, but even more transparent and cleaner. The Tube Works was the last time I loved my reverb sound. I planned on using the reverse on our NFA jam, like I said I was digging the first and only setting I put it on, which is super rare for me with a new pedal.

It totally beats out the EH nano pedal I tried, and some other boutique styled stuff I have played with in the past year. I also had a boss RV-5 for a day, and this is better. Its like having a few of the best lexicon rack verbs in a pedal, for real! I think I am going to get the delay too, I found one used that is a good deal. It looks like Digitech finally made some pedals worth looking into since the early 80's.

Their newest one that does the phase 90, phase 100, an envelope phaser, dynamic phaser, and three other syles. 7 phase pedals in one. Stereo i/o and way nicer than boss pedals hardware wise. The two I have are DEAD quiet. they are set up to take high voltage and active/buffered signals. They are kinda ideal for what we do and how we do it signal wise, and true bypass. I am excited to try this baby out.

I will be selling off my old pedals, just getting tired of them, and I am awaiting the tube OD with active EQ controls. really a TS808 circuit on steroids. Gearmandude was quite impressed against a few of the other TS808 boutiques, the versatility was the main aspect, while remaining harmonic and complex. I know there are those that won't buy a digitech, I wouldn't have before either, I took a chance and it worked out. If you would buy a boss pedal, then look at these for real.

I took a chance and ordered the CM-2 Tube Overdrive w/out having tried it and am totally glad I did. Went way beyond my expectations. So darn versatile! It's smooth, transparent, and just plain fun to play with. It's my primary OD now and has replaced my Keeley Blues Driver. But I'm still gonna order an Earth Drive too tho!..

I just rec'd a CM-2 I got on eBay for $50.51 delivered. Very versatile! Pairs up beautifully w/ the SC-2 for a very transparent and wide range of OD tones! Sounds great w/ both passive and Waldo Buffer equipped guitars! Might need to check out that phaser now!
