I didn't but I saw them at the HOB in Cleveland that year.

Yeah.. i did catch Ratdog... i also got to see the Rythym Devils and Widespread that month.

I'm going to try to catch Hookah on Saturday at the Newport. I haven't had an opportunity to see them since John rejoined the band....

I was at that show too. Sting opened, right? That was a fantastic time. I live in Akron.

Nope, in 91 it was an unheralded set by the Violent Femmes!! Right as we got into gate they started up and didn't realize they were actually live until the stage came into view... butt-kickin opener!

Sting was in 93... 94 it was Traffic which was some powerful weather magic...

RE: 93 Tour with Sting. Caught the end of his set at one of the RFK shows when Jerry came out and played "Walking on The Moon" with him. Let's just say that was when it all kicked in. Jerry was working it hard on that tune.

And Groovemongrel, there were some Casio sounding tones in the Vince gear, but he did do some great things for me when I saw him live with them.

And I still think your opinion is lame.

That eyes clip is from that short lived "In Concert" thing abc had way back when. I have the whole hour on VHS and will soon transfer it to DVD. Off hand I don't think there was a whole lot of footage.

They had some rainforest promo stuff with bobby and jer and they had some clips of the "Dedicated" folks playin the dead tunes they covered. Mostly patial stuff but a real nice full version of FOTD by Lyle Lovett. Gotta check and see what else is on the tape. I was at the show, I think, and thay also played a real nice New Spedway Boogie. Definitely didn't make the abc show. I believe Truckin is on there.

That must have been completely awesome. At Soldier Field '93, JG sat in for "Tea In The Sahara" and Jerry's stage presence in Sting's band was amazing. He instantly ruled the stage as all the players deferred to him and let him do his THANG!!

Whoa! Traffic opened for the boys???? Fucking fantastic! What a killer show! Is that how Steve Winwood became associated with them or was he involved with them from an earlier time? I mean, I'm sure they met back in the 60's or 70's, but did they ever play together/open up for one-another/play at the same festival, etc.?

On a side note, I've really been digging the Blind Faith album recently (again) and am trying to incorporate Sea of Joy into our setlist, but MAN! is it a bitch to sing! Stevie boy gets into a whole 'nother register on that one! Great tune with a great riff though. Just thought I'd share that.
