Bobby added an enormous amount of tension to the sound. Which was a great counterpoint to Jerrys mostly "inside" playing. While Jerry may have been playing a straight mixolydian line, Bobby's lines againts it would often create dissonant intervals that when combined with Phil's Jerry's and the keys would create these huge extended chords, and then by the nature of the song resolve itself to the expected comfortable consonance..

i guess the big east chamionship weekend (which i decided to get rediculsy drunk for) was not a good time to make some posts

Bob is kicking ass right now!
Right On!!! Been with Ratdog all summer. Played an awesome set in my hometown. My favorite bobby song will always be black throated wind. I love all of his dylan covers also. He's been doing "senor" which I'm really into. The bands tight and bobby's just on (IMHO)!


I think Bob got himself some bad raps for a couple of things.
