Dunno, I can't see how people play while on drugs, even just stoned, my coordination fucks up and I get all depressed about guitar and my life and shit.
thats because you are already depressed..the high and anxiety of the pot is just triggering those results...id recomend you limit your dosage otherwise your depression may reveal itself if your chemicals become too unbalanced

Reminds me of what Scully had to say about Donna's usage- basically that (besides being a favorite dosing target of the crew) she stayed completely away from any hard stuff (unlike her husband) but she smoked pot, of which he then says "...in the Grateful Dead family, weed was like salad- salad that you smoke."

I'm not saying smoking weed makes me depressed, it's just that I love playing music above everything else, and I have my own personal expectations for where I should strive to be. So I don't play guitar when I smoke weed. problem solved.
I'm actually a pretty happy and emotionally stable guy, sorry if I exaggerated myself.

I always found it funny that people thought casey jones was a pro-cocaine song. When you listen to it is is defintely talkinga bout bad shit, watch your speed, troble ahead, trouble behind, on thw wrong tack and headed for you. Doean't paint a very pretty picure of cocaine use.

THough im prety sure jerry and the rest of the organization did a lot of coke in the 70's.

Great point. It always seemed to me that those two could communicate the best of anyone on the scene and it was never in a direct way. Jer was never that great at direct communication. But when you present him with a great song that you know he'll love and it has hidden messages like that . . . . thats probably the stuff that got through the best.

i got a question: who are the grateful dead and why do they keep following me around?

lol love seeing them all laughing and joking around, gotta love the dead

what was it like being part of the dead scene transitioning into the eighties?
