From what I remember, the boys were big fans of guns and shooting. Back in the day, they used to play cowboys and indians at their Rancho Olompali. And Rock had mentioned some story of Bob's penchant for shooting off cap guns at airports (ha! can you imagine that today? he'd be dead).

I've never been hunting, but I'd love to go. I think it would be awesome to go out, camp a bit, shoot a bit and kill and eat something you shot. Unfortunately, I didn't grow up with any family members/friends who hunted and when I lived in NC, the only hunters I knew were people I would never consider going anywhere with loaded guns. They probably would've shot me for me pinko-commie-bastard-hippie-like ways.

Why the hell did I waste so many years in college learning to manage natural resources, when I could have just consulted the Misanthropists League of Earth and received all the answers?

Many of today's problems in society stem from uninformed, undereducated, folks attempting to impose their beliefs and values on the rest of us.

If you dislike people so much, I can help you find a cave in Hells Canyon where you can live out your days and probably not see too many humans ever again.

Of course, you'll have to hunt deer and elk to eat...

and thats exactly why i do it. there are many different reasons for loving it, but killing is not one. shit i cried after my first kill. still get a little choked up at times. i was being sarcastic in all my responses. i never provided a bunch of politically correct reasons for my personal choices. and i'm not a gun lover. i believe in control laws. other than the opening of 2 or 3 seasons i'm never even around a gun. don't have the time

BTW, a fabulous interview I caught years back with an ex KGB agent who, amidst many other remarkable statements, stated that the Soviets knew they would never invade the US because of gun ownership. They knew that posses would crop up everywhere and they would either be completely defeated or destroy their prize (the people and the infrastructure).
