There are like 2 - of course shanahan and avery spent like 10 minutes there! 75 games over 2 seasons.

I think the Rangers are a good, tough team - don't get me wrong. But they're way too old to keep up in an end-to-end game with the Penguins. Crosby, Malkin, Hossa, Staal, Malone, Talbot, Letang, Fleury. You have no idea what's coming, bro....but you are correct - it'll be interesting!

Is it just me or has the officiating in the playoffs been abysmal so far.
I saw the god awful worst call in the flyboys/caps game the other day.
Kozlov for the caps going in on a semi breakaway and as he shoots from in close, the save is made and you can see him start to veer away from contact w/ the goalie and he gets hammered into the goalie, Biron I believe, by a flyboy and: Interference Kozlov. What a disgrace. And this has happened a gazillion times this season.
Rangers/devils Gomez turning on the attack in the neutral zone during a 4 on 4 and gets blatantly tripped preventing a likely breakaway: no call
Same series game 2 closing minutes Shanahan slightly interferred with off a rangers defensive zone draw by Langenbruner: Interference
Betts blatantly hooks a devil in the neutral zone soon after: No call.
Rosival gets checked behind the net including a high stick bloodying his lips by Zubrus: Nothing
I officiated adult leagues and all levels below college for over 10 years. I know it ain't easy but it's getting a bit ridiculous. There doesn't seem to be any consistency from one ref to another and they seem to be calling stuff they THINK they see or by how a player reacts.
I know sometimes (depending on who you're working with) one official who may have a better look at a play but is the 'back' official and not closest to the play and thus may be hesitant to make the call. A turf thing that does exist amongst the zebras to varying degree. It's not often you see the back official make a call but it does happen. I would hope this wasn't the case in the professional ranks.
I haven't even watched a whole lot outside of the Rangers Devils series.

Other than Jagr (who ironically was with you guys in '96) and shanahan the rangers are actually pretty young. Not counting them, the backup goalie and Malik and Strudwick (who haven't even dressed yet and hopefully won't) the average age is less than 25.
No HD!!! I bet you folks are still startin fires by rubbin sticks together! YeeeHaaa!!

anyone else getting ready to watch this game today?
I would rather see the penguins in the finals. They are younger, faster, and just running alot smoother than other teams in the east right now.
On a side note, I was reading posts from last year and was freaking out because they sounded like something I would say. As I continued reading them, I wondered who this guy was that sounded exactly like me, and looked at the name "reccstermatt". I was floored, completely freaked out. Thats my name!!
Then I remembered I had an old account I couldnt remember the name or password to, and that was it. I dont know who to tell about this to get it removed/fixed or whatever, but man did it get me!
