Additionally, and this may be only me but FWIW, I've never played a H&K amp I really liked. Though if I someday pull together a Rush tribute band, I'll revisit my decision.
Actually the H&K Blues Master is known as a very Twin like amp/preamp/DI and is known to work extremely well for Jerry tones
50W is usually plenty of power these days if you mic the speaker - Tons of people gig with Princeton 15W amps actually

I hadn't heard of that item but I'm always open to new ideas and info.

And you're certainly right about micing the amp if you want to.

This guy's H&K does sound good!

This guy's H&K sounds pretty good:

The guitar player in Terrapin Flyer out of Chicago uses a blues master this whole show he is playing through one:

What I cut and pasted was John's endorsements list. I didn't realize that's what it was and below it was the gear he actually uses list. You're right on the H&K. Sorry for the confusion.

Holy shit, you typed that fast. Were you waiting like a tiger to pounce on me before I could take 20 seconds to correct myself (we posted our crossing posts at exactly 5:17 each)?! I surrender!!

It seemed like you were trying to prove me wrong - not the other way around

I made a statement and then it seemed like you were trying to cut and paste something to prove me wrong ... isn’t that what happened?

Now you are accusing me of “pouncing”

Wow!!!

Let's lower the temperature. Everything's cool. This is a discussion board. Sometimes we correct another's errors, sometimes our errors are corrected by others, sometimes we learn that H&K amps aren't only for Alex Lifeson (that's me making fun of myself now ), and sometimes we live no particular way but our own.
