Just received my 400W last week. Originally debated the wolf look thing, but I fell in love with the walnut. I've decided I'm going to build my own wolf inspired guitar to make up for the "loss!" The stainless steel frets play very smoothly. Bends are almost too easy, it took me a bit to adjust, but I love the feel of the neck and fretboard. The neck is a tad wider (too lazy to look up the specs) than my Tele or Ibanez, but again, I like the feel.

Saw your posts on the Carvin board. Not much of a Dead contingent over there, but there are some knowledgable and helpful folks.

Thats funny about the Rugger nick... rugby jerseys were pretty popular in my day, as well. I don't seem to see them that much anymore. But then, that also could be because I live in FL now and one might tend to sweat their b@lls off ten out of the twelve months of the year by wearing one!

I think I see why your images are not appearing. When I quoted response the URLs appear:

I removed the wrappers and added spaces so the URLs would appear. But because they are from your Yahoo! mail inbox (or so it appears), it would would likely require authentication with your account credentials. I don't think you want be spreading that info about. Just upload the images using the 'Upload Attachment' tool or use a service like Flickr and just post URL.

I used to check out that Carvin board, but haven't been over there in a while.
I did not know that they don't use/offer Active Electronics in their 3-pickup guitars.
I also did not know that the DC145 is a 25" scale length. I played an Ibanez Musician recently with a 25" scale length, and really liked the feel (I played a Les Paul for years and like that shorter scale "feel").

I like the fact that you are covered if you get it a don't like it (from Carvin website):

Its really a great looking guitar. Plays just as nicely? I can't wait for my DC-145. It will only be about T-minus 9 weeks, now! : ) Thanks for sharing those. I just love that Claro top.
