I agree about the traditionals. My favorites would have to be:
Sing Me Back Home-
Queen Jane
and, of course:
Morning Dew

Agree with most of what has been mentioned but would like to add a couple nobody's brought up yet.
Deep Elem Blues
Wake Up Little Susie
I heard both of these before the originals and I love em dearly.
Also gotta drop this one: Standing on the Corner. I loved how Jerry belted this one in the early days.

Why Don't we do it in the Road?!
Baba O Reily
Lucy in the Sky
Walkin the dog
All Too Much
TOO/TD Shine on you Crazy Diamond
and of course G-L-O-R-I-A!!! (even tho it was kinda in rotation)
I agree with all the great traditional covers as well, but, the dead did those (Dew, GDTRFB,MAMU, etc)so much that they really didn't seem like covers anymore. I always liked when they pulled out a new cover which they didn't already do for years in the rotation.

I agree about the traditionals also...they made them their own also and at least taught us about those songs
I wonder what it would be to have not heard the traditional songs....Americana at its best
