I would rather someone else step up and be commish, but, if folks want me to do it, I guess I could.

However, the only free site I am familiar with is Yahoo! and my bro is the commish in a league I'm in so I figure he could help me if need be.

I'm gonna assume if we really are to do this, we'd need to have "definites" in the next week or so---say by 8/18 at the latest because I'm guessing a draft is gonna take some time.

I'm thinking that if people want me to do it, just say so here and then send me a pm so I'll have your email....then, after we get enough people signed up, I'll get the Yahoo thing set up and we'll take it from there. We'd have to agree on scoring. I'm thinking basic is best.

Be aware though that despite my playing in these things for 15 years, I've never been commish in a computerized league. You'd have to bear with me a bit I'm sure. Keep in mind that I would GLADLY be cool with someone else being the commish. Anyone else want to do it???

I am definitely IN for the league. I think we did Yahoo last year, I'd vote for CBS Sportsline as my money league has been using it for years and I have grown accustomed to its face shall we say.

we all know that preseason doesn't mean anything. in a regular season game you build rhythm as a unit, that cannot be established when you only play two series. Just wanted to say good luck to all teams out there (except the eagles redskins and cowboys) looking forward to a great season

I was the comish last year and I'm an Eagles fan!!!! It was the first time I'd used foxsports and didn't really care much for the layout or scoring system. I am doing a couple leagues already with some friends for some cash and I don't really like being in too many leagues. It makes me root for too many players and I just get confused. Sorry but someone else has to take up the gauntlet.

I say we use Yahoo, it seems like the easiest to use of all the places to play...

How will you do the draft, I am limited in my access to the 'net? Mostly day hours in CST.
I have done the 'one after another', email selection, but I know it can be frustrating to wait if someone doesn't pick for a day or two...
I have also pre-picked and let the draft go automatically. This was on Yahoo as well.

Good question---ideally, I think a live draft would be easiest---don't know how realistic that will be though. I'm guessing we're gonna be forced to do it the email way unless EVERYONE can be available for about 2 hours on line on either a week night or weekend day.

As long as we start it fairly soon and people are fairly diligent about getting the draft done and don't wait 2 days between picks, I think we can prolly do it the email way and then I'd just put the rosters into yahoo---thoughts from others??

I can be available to do a live draft after 9pm EST almost any night---I was hoping all involved could do the same--If Django and anyone else wants to pre-pick their order, can we do a live draft but allow say, one or two players to have their selections pre-picked?? BTW, the answer to my question is NO. It's either all live, pre-picked or put in afterwards .

Since I had the time today, I set up a league already. I went with what I considered pretty standard settings. They can be changed if need be later. Please check it out and lemme know if there's anything you want to see be different. I have it set up for us to do an email draft and then I'll put the teams in afterwards. I put in for 8 teams (can also be changed), so, WE NEED ONE MORE PLAYER....

Who's it gonna be?? Certainly someone else is willing to be slapped about on a weekly basis by the Steeleyerfacers....How's about one of you New England
