That would be pretty lame......IMHO

"Tough Mama" has a lot to remember and deliver at a high rate.

"Truckin'" is for sure the hardest out of GD-written songs. The real ball-breaker would have to be most of the cats that you meet on the street speak of true love

Hesgone.......dude, I'm sorry....as an admin I have the ability to edit other's posts.....something I have never had the need to do. I meant to click "quote", and by accident, I clicked edit, and didn't realize it until I had irreversibly changed your post. 1000 apologies.

I also frequently mess up franklins . Just the order of which verse comes when, and of course Cassidy with "Catch colt draws a coffin cart"
I'm there on this one. Cassidy is one of my favs, but the "catch colt..." line AND "Come grow the scorched ground green" are impossible for me. I have trouble SAYING those lines, much less singing them while trying to play a guitar. For the second one, I usually get something closer to "Come go the scorched gown geen".

I been thinking about this topic. Great topic, BTW.

Yeah, there are always some song lyris that are difficult and that have tongue twisters. especially in Dead music, though Phish lyrics pose a real challenge to me.

One I have trouble with is the middle 8 (for lack of a better term cause it is not really a chorus) in Crazy Fingers. When coming back from solo land, I always go to "Gone are the days..." instead of "Life may be sweeter...".

Then as I thought more about where I have the probs, it is usually after a break of some sort, usually instrumental. By that time, I have gotten very into the music, the solos, the jam of the piece and we come back to the tune and then suddenly having to remember where in the song I am, etc. Just probably being a rube in the woods but most my trip ups happen there other than the few tongue twisters, that is...

Maybe a combination of challenging lyrics and getting lost in the tune?

Dave
