Joe Satriani.....freak of nature looking...Looks like Valdamore from Harry Potter...but his playing can be quite breath taking.

Yep, Mosrite double-neck made by Semie for Joe. Here's another link for some more info on Joe and links to some You Tube vids. I have a few of his disks - killer stuff. Nothing like clean tone with clean flatpicking. Check out Larry Collins - wow !!

That Maphis guy is really good - thats some of fastest picking I ever heard ....
Would you call this the "Bakersfield " style ?

Yeah man those cats and their Tele's are awesome ..
I just got into Jerry Reed;you like him ?

I wouldn't call Joe a Bakersfield guy - he's just a good flat picker. He's also the inspiration for all of the surf guys (including Dick Dale) from the '60s. Just an amazing talent.

I think of Buck Ownes and Don Rich as the quintessential Bakersfield guys. Some of my other favorite Tele players are Jerry Reed, Danny Gatton, Redd Volkaert and believe it or not but Brad Paisley. If you get past the sappy stuff, Paisley is the real deal when it comes to country Tele pickers.
