Haven't done much snoozin to tunage in quite a while but back when I was living with the'rents and had one of them there turntables that shut off the whole unit when it got to the end of an album side, morning dew from europe was always my choice.

If I didn't make it to the heavy end jam the mellow portion leading up to it put me out. (along with who knows what I'd been injesting!) And if I made it through the end jam I was usually so sated that I'd just drift off to lala land.

I think "Prelude" jam led to Morning Dew on that album side - I don't think I even made it to md at times.

Some mistakes I've made while trying to go to bed:

1> Don't leave on America Coast to Coast while you are going to bed - especially if Art Bell does a special on yeti in Oregon.

2> Infrared Roses is not recommended if you are trying to go to bed after a long trip.

Both of these can cause some pretty bad dreams.

lol I figured that my phish comment would get some laughs, but I mean some of their music is really good for sleeping lol

The dead can be hard to fall asleep to, especially when you start thinking about what their playing, how they are playing it, ex. but that can happen with anyone.

when that doesnt work, throw on some radiohead ok computer or certain sts9 and im out

For Jerry music I liked Hooterroll with howard wales.
Sometimes back in the 80s I would listen to Yes songs or close to the edge.
a couple of years ago I found a native american flute player that give me the strangest dreams when I played his CD, freaky stuff. I got to find that CD again. yea yeah

Andreas Vollenweider.....
Kind of "New Age" mood music... with a little twist... He plays a harp... not a harmonica, but a real 10,000 (sic) harp.... I don't much go for the new age music...at all, but in a different life, I worked as part of his crew for a fall US tour he did in the mid-eighties.
I can drop in the one and only "Boot" CD I have and it knocks me out. Also, the Mrs. thinks it's romantic...
Worth a listen for the interest factor alone...

I've listened to everything, started out with American Beauty/Workingmans/Skull&Roses (before I found out about bootlegs) at college fresh year b/c I was nerved up to fall asleep. Then I moved on to other stuff from there. Some of my Favs:

Thats about it, the dead have fallen out of vouge for sleeping lately, but thinking they should go back into circulation.

for some reason i always think i can fall asleep to morning dew....not a chance with the energy at the climax of the song not a chance.... guess it doesn't matter anyway
