Well apparently it is so good that the board was pulled off of the archive in a matter of a couple of months since I last listened. Oh well, just went to sugarmegs.org to get my fix of 11-14-1973.
6-28 is notable mostly for intro jam and not for the transition. The segue on the 11-14-1973 is one of the finest I have heard. Sweet Bob solo and Jerry comps perfectly and then comes in so smoothly with his lead. Feelin' Groovy jam is sweet, no faultering on this one! I have to agree with you on the trumpage, TS.
I read in Phil's book that they dosed on every saturday for most of the heavily psychedelic years (67-69?) and then went and listened to those saturday sets. For the most part they were much more inspired than other nights and the setlists were a bit more interesting. Were they tripping when they recorded Live/Dead?
