I don't believe anyone said chuck berry? Also, Dan Akroyd and John Belushi!! The Blues Brothers are great. 
Taj Mahal, David Bromberg, Ringo, Ian Anderson, Alvin Lee, Bill Panes, Paul Barriere, Jon Anderson, all of Dispatch, Jorma Kaukonan I don't think were mentioned. Jack Black is pretty good too, if you disregard the slapstick part of his music. 
I'm pretty much agreeing to most of what everyone else is saying though
besides maybe Phish, the're jams are awesome but I think their vocals are kinda their weak point. Just my opinion.
