Don't Let Go + Passenger to close the set?

Now that's what I call going out with a bang. Sweetness.

Yeah man! We actually had 2 other songs on the list to do, but after Don't Let Go, I peeked at the clock and was like, "Oh crap! It's 2am already, fellas! We got time for one more!" The rest of the list was SUPPOSED to be Don't Let Go, Good To Be Able (Cherylann original), Passenger > Second That Emotion with an Encore of Johnny B. Goode.
The keyboard player (mttourpro) & I looked @ each other and immediately agreed....Passenger encore, baby. Especially since we had Cherylann there with us (although she & I do trade verses in 2nd That Emotion a la Jer & Bob on Letterman '90). I love singing with that gal....if you haven't checked her stuff out...SICK singer/songwriter: www.myspace.com/cherylannhawk .

Our next show is JANUARY 26th at McGROGAN'S TAPROOM - another great list with FOUR NEW ONES (for us!).

What an amazing night last night at The FarmHouse in Raleigh, our non-official "home" The sponsoring of "The Grateful Dead Hour" broadcast on the NC State student radio station sure paid off. I suggest it to other bands who want to reach deadheads. I didn't think that that many people could fit in that club and still dance, it was incredible. They kept us playing well past the 2:00 closing of the bar.

Our good friends, an acoustic duo "Old and In The Way-Back Machine" opened and various members of BOD sat in with them on different songs with the whole band joining them on FOTD to close their set and start ours. Then we played:

1st Set

Jack Straw
Big Boss Man
Beat It On Down The Line
Deal
Mr. Charlie
Ramble On Rose
Cold Rain and Snow
Big Railroad Blues
Me and My Uncle
Brown Eyed Women
Mississippi>>Franklin’s>>Lovelight

2nd Set

Bertha
Scarlet Begonias>>Fire On The Mountain
Sugaree
Eyes of the World
Playing In The Band>>
The Other One>>China-Rider>>Playing In The Band Reprise.

Encore

BetterOffDead, that Playing In The Band>>
The Other One>>China-Rider>>Playing In The Band Reprise looks like a tasty treat. That is a good 20-30 minutes of non-stop music, I'm lovin' it!

Benny, you guys are playing 3 setters now!?!? Sweet! I love Talking Heads, Beatles, Guess Who, of course the GD songs. And what could be better to close a drunken night at a bar than Sweet Caroline.

Seeing all these setlists is inspiring for sure, I've got some catching up to do
