I saw the Pink Floyd's "Pulse" tour in '94 in the old Foxboro Stadium. They were the only band I've ever seen live (including the Grateful Dead and Phish) that was able to completely fill a football stadium with sound. It was LOUD and crystal clear from the very first notes of the show (Astronomy Domine opened it up). And as far as neatness goes, easily an A+. They were ridiculously well rehearsed-- nobody missed a note, and the lights and other effects were perfectly synced with the music.
Of course, the uber-perfectionism did take away a bit from the adventure of the show, so I would agree with that point.
Still, the maxim holds--> There's nothing like a Grateful Dead Concert! (Even if you're in the upper deck at Giants' Stadium.)
