Gil,
How easy of a repair is that? I can't seem to get to the point where it connects to the amp

Using a thick speaker wire, you can solder one end to the speakers and the other end is a 1/4" plug that plugs into the amp's speaker output or pos/neg terminals, I believe that is what he is talking about.

No easier. You have a right-angle plug going into the back of your amp. Unplug it and replace the actual plug. The socket and cable should be fine. Scooter told me that the actual plug was the one faulty thing on the reissues and he replaced the plug and I never had a probla with it again.

You know, I heard that. I use mine a a preamp so I plug into the output hole and go into the power amp. It is 15 years old and it has never had a problem with it. The reverb trans is out, but that's an easy fix. I use a midi reverb anyway,

OK so my amp (TRRI) continues to keep doing this muffle/volume lowering/crackle thing when I turn my amp on. Strangely, once I played into it for about a half hour, it went away. I had also turned it on and off a few times. I'm not sure what the hell is wrong with this amp, but its F*&%$#g annoying
Also, I'm not sure what is meant by replacing "the plug".
