I'm just getting used to the Neomags, I will have to play them in a few more gigs before I make a decision. I had Tone Tubbys in before them and JBL E120's in before the Tubbys. The E120's were just too harsh and too heavy for me. I liked the Tubbys, but really wanted something that was closer to a JBL d or k120.

Second night playing, they sounded better than the first night, but will play them again this Friday and Saturday.

FYI - American Beauty with Rob Eaton will play at the Sandbar in Vail, CO this Friday and Saturday and perform the following legendary shows:

Friday, Roosevelt Stadium, 8/6/74
Saturday, Hollywood Palladium, 8/6/71

Hope to see you there! 8)

Thanks for the info on the speakers. I use E120s and they are very warm and full sounding with my rig. The weight of the Neomags are very attractive though.

Sorry I can't make it to your gigs. I'm in California. Those sound like some good shows. Love the Hollywood Palladium '71 (except for that woo hoo guy in the audience during Casey Jones)!

Thanks,
Jim

I'm happy to hear you got those E120's to sound warm! My back still has fond memories of carrying them up stairs :P

Neomags sounded better last night here in Vail. We had a mini snowstorm (springtime in the rockies), but still had a great, enthusiastic crowd. Tonight we perfrom one of my all time favorite shows - 8/6/71 Hollywood Palladium. Playing these '70's shows with Rob Eaton on his old Gibson is unbelievable. Its like flashing back almost 40 years ago....We are having a blast!

Glad you're having a good time playing the music you love and sharing it with other people too!

Peace,

Gil
